Our Purpose: To model God’s unconditional love and acceptance to all children and their families in order to plant the seeds leading to salvation. We will provide a healthy, safe, loving and structured environment for our preschoolers and their families so they may learn about and develop a love for Christ and His teachings. You can expect our leaders to rock, feed, read, teach, and care for your children to insure, within reason they are content. Our Health Policy: In order to insure the safety and health of other children and leaders, please refrain from bringing your child to our preschool area if he/she has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: - DIARRHEA (with or without fever)
- VOMITING
- FEVER
- RASH- other than diaper
- OPEN SORES OR SKIN INFECTIONS
- DISCOLORED NASAL DISCHARGE
- PERSISTENT AND/OR CONGESTED COUGH
** When in doubt, apply the “Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have done unto you” Frequently asked Questions: Do I need to remain in the church building in order to leave my child in the preschool area? - Yes, for legal and safety reasons we ask that you remain on campus while your child is in our care.
Will I be asked to volunteer in the preschool department? - If you are a parent of a preschooler, we ask that you make yourself available to serve on a rotation basis.
My child has separation anxiety and cries a lot when I leave him. should I hang around to make sure he is alright? - No, Children have a much better chance adjusting if you make the separation short and sweet. If your child can’t adjust in a reasonable amount of time we will come and get you.
Can I send a sibling to pick up my preschooler? - No. For security reasons, children will not be released to siblings
Our Preschool Rooms Infants Swings, cribs, and age appropriate toys are used in this room and no snacks are given. We will be happy to warm bottles just let us know! Please prepare bottles prior to entering the classroom; we will not serve baby food. Toddlers Age appropriate learning aides are provided in this room. Snacks (usually crackers and water) will be given in this room. Please notify workers of any food allergies. Please place toddlers who are being toilet trained in a diaper or disposable training pants prior to placing them in the classroom. Communicate with leaders on your child’s progress and needs in this area- we want to help you as much as we can! Threes, Fours, Five’s Age appropriate learning aides are provided in these rooms. Snacks (usually crackers and water) will be given unless otherwise specified. Please notify leaders of any food allergies. Check in procedures and responsibilities *The preschool department has a number system that prevents anyone other than the parent from picking up a child. As you sign in your child, please make sure you include your phone # on the sign in sheet. You will receive a number for each child. Simply return the number to the preschool leader when you pick up your child. Additional Information Please remember to label all diaper bags, bottles, pacifier, cups, clothing etc. with you r child’s name. - Please refrain from letting children bring toys, gum or candy.
- Please refrain from binging outside food into our preschool area.
- To keep hallway congestion to a minimum we ask that only one parent pick up their child.
- Children will not be released to siblings.
We make every effort to insure each child’s contentment while in our care, we will however, notify you if our child is crying excessively, becomes ill or is disruptive to the other children.
