Have you experienced the death of a loved one and desire to take the next steps in processing the grief experience?

The Church At Parker has certified Grief Facilitation Coaches equippedto help you embrace your specific grief and move forward without the loved onein your life.  Our church offers avariety of coaching sessions to help each individual understand how grief uniquely impacts a person’s life.

Grief Rite: Moving from Mourning to Ministering explores a series of Biblical principles for grieving taken from the lives of Biblical characters. Grief Rite is a rite of passage which every one will travel during various seasons of their life when they losea significant loved one. In this 6 week study, learn how grieving is:

·        a time of mourning and reflection

·        a time to seek refuge in God's comfort and hope

·        a time of introspection

·        a time of surrender

·        a time when we become wounded healers

 

Six Weekly Sessions include the following topics:

 

  1. Genuine Expressions of Emotions When Grieving (TheStory of Job)
  2. God Ordains Time To Grieve The Story of the Death ofMoses)
  3. Seeking Refuge in Grief (The Story of Ruth and Naomi)
  4. Grieving Well (David’s Unique Reaction to DeathExperiences)
  5.  Wounded Healers Ministering to Others (The Rest ofTheir Stories)
  6.  Our Role Model for Grief (Jesus)

The Grief Facilitation createdby Susan Singleton, J.D., and Kathryn McColskey, Ph.D., is a remarkable toolthat is based upon the premise that persons who have lost a loved one benefitfrom participating in a   personalized, private facilitation 8 months to a year after the death of their loved one. Whyshould I participate in Grief Facilitation?

This one-on-one discipleship process empowers the participant to discover the Scripture's relevance to their personal grief event, and realize the ways God brings hope and  healing in this season in their life.

Howis the facilitation handled?

Presented in either a one-dayintensive facilitation, or in one-hour weekly sessions by a certified facilitator this life-changing event is recommended for anyone experiencingloss of any kind.
